This kit is an excellent plug-and-play solution that allows you to control the Tesla Model S Rear Performance Drive Unit. This system essentially simulates the Tesla Model S vehicle and makes the Tesla powertrain usable for all types of electric vehicles and vehicle conversions. The control unit can also manage essential devices required for an electric vehicle, significantly simplifying the installation process.
The set consists of three essential components: Electronic Control Unit (ECU), Tesla Performance Drive Unit, and Touch Encoder. This small but powerful package is perfect if you have limited space and is suitable for numerous vehicle conversions.
The kit has the following basic functionalities:
- Two CAN bus lines
-
12V inputs for ignition, start, reverse, neutral, drive, door contact and brake.
In addition, the following optional interfaces are available:
- Outputs for reversing and brake lights
- Display output via touch encoder
- A door signal that resets the LDU to "neutral" mode when the door is opened (required for German TÜV certification), and a buzzer output that is activated when the LDU is activated and the door is open (also required for German TÜV certification).
The drive units are used units that we thoroughly test, reprogram, refurbish and, if necessary, overhaul.
To generate a driving signal, a connection to the original Tesla accelerator pedal or a throttle potentiometer is necessary. Both are also available in the shop and can be added to the kit according to your needs and requirements.
